I can't even begin to tell you how many times I heard that phrase on Sunday! We're ramping up for the flea market & bake sale! If anyone else has stuff that they'd like to donate please contact us now so that we can figure out how/when/where we can meet up - time is drawing near. We will be heading to set up tables at the hall on Wednesday 6/16, then starting to setup the goods on Thursday 6/17. Our wonderful friend Lori has volunteered to stand by at the church hall so that we can load & unload easily on Thurs. If you'd just like to stop by during the day Wednesday or Thursday & drop off that would be perfectly wonderful! We are anticipating being done by 2pm on Wed & Thurs. Signs will be going up around Donora this weekend & we'll be putting ads online via craigslist, ebay classifieds, etc - and there'll be one in the Valley Independent too. The OFFICIAL sale will be Fri & Sat June 18 & 19 8a-3p. Also if anyone else would like to volunteer some time to help - we'll gladly accept any extra hands on any of these days! If you need directions or would like to look them up online - the address is 1 St. Nicholas Dr, Donora PA 15033. We would also be happy to email a copy of our signage if you'd be willing to hang one at your work, etc. All publicity counts!
Some highlights of our sale thus far: homemade baked goods (of course,) tent, drum set, household goods, tools, wicker swing, futon and more! There'll also be hot dogs, snow cones and of course some of Pappy Bud's records will be making one final appearance! All priced by donation! (The motorcycle will also be there for show & an ad will be in the paper for it as well.)
Our goal for this sale is $1,000. Hopefully with everyone's help we will surpass it!
And our sewer line is all fixed : ) With a nice mudpie at the bottom of our steps. The sidewalk will be replaced once the dirt settles. Thank goodness that's almost over!
