Hmm... something up with weebly - this is our 2nd attempt at this post!
We mailed in our contract & initial documents and in return we were graced with another packet in the mail today. This one has all the directions to get busy with our paperchase - gathering all the documents necessary to assemble our Russian Dossier. We've got to get clearances, copies, background checks, copies, references, copies, medical exams, copies, photos, and did we say copies? And some other odds and ends too... by the time we're done gathering all of this stuff another month will fly be easily. It will take about that long to get some of these clearances back in the mail, not to mention to actually get a doctor appointment too.
Also in the packet we got today was a booklet to begin our Parent Education course. Raise your hand if you think EVERY parent should have to do this... So we'll be getting started with it while we paperchase.
One other update we have today - WE ONLY HAVE 194 PUZZLE PIECES LEFT! Woo-hoo! We are so happy to be able to say that because it means that we've had so much love and support from our friends and family in this already, that we know that next year when all of this is done - our child will be anxiously welcomed & loved by all! When we decided to take this route specifically we knew that there would be people whom we were close with that would want to help - whether we asked for it or not - and we're just so very thankful that we're able to provide this type of outlet for everyone to take advantage of!
And while we're thinking of it... some of you may be wondering what exactly is a Russian Dossier? That'll be our next post. : )
